A red light camera gives a fine to 27 bicyclist on race Tour of Spain
The race’s experience at the Tour of Spain held in Alicante was so surreal and it never seen before. In all, 27 bicyclists participated on the race Tour of Spain or La Vuelta a España and they were fined by a red light camera.
When they arrived to the finish line, bicyclist were called to let them know that they had been captured by a red light camera and they were fined 150€ each one and three demerit points. The red light camera, located on the outskirts of the town, has a speed limit of 50 km/h, that bicyclists did break.
Curiously, among these sanctioned men had not ratified a single one of Spanish nationality, so they thought that it was due to a strategic plan to destabilize to foreign bicyclists, benefiting Spanish participants. For now bicyclists have had to pay the fine in order to be able to continue the race.
